About this demonstration

What this site is, what it is not, what it runs on, and how to visit it down to the back office.

A demonstration site, not a delivered one

This site is designed and operated by EURL rhanb to show its know-how. It was neither commissioned nor delivered to any client, and it appears in no list of references.

What it is

The public website of an imaginary town and its back office, built on rhanb's software base: a Payload back office administered in French, a server-rendered React Router site, a PostgreSQL database, a Typesense search engine, a complete design charter and published measurements.

It gathers what local authority website tenders ask for most often: news, exportable events, block-based pages, directories and a map, procedures and editable forms, a register of acts with filters, faceted search, newsletter, RSS feed, site map, redirects, mini-sites, a restricted area, open data, a documented API, a design system, accessibility and eco-design measurements.

The eight visual identities behind the “Style” button are demonstrations of the same base: a client town brings its own, and the site carries it the same way.

What it is not

  • A site delivered to a client: it has no recipient, no amount, no certificate.
  • The site of a real town: Aubrigny is invented; its name was checked against INSEE's official geographic code.
  • A site declared compliant with the RGAA or the RGESN: the accessibility and eco-design pages say exactly what was checked, and by whom.

Visit the back office

A demonstration account lets you into the back office as a contributor: you can create and edit drafts in the News and Events sections, submit them for review, see version history, the media library and the log of your actions. Nothing this account writes is published on the public site: only a reviewer can publish.

A second account shows the restricted area of the public site, reserved for councillors:

The site is reset every night: what you write disappears, and the initial content comes back. No administrator account has a public password.
